What does Holding Number and Flat No. Signifies.
While as per municipality record Holding No. For flat owner A is say 115/1 and for Flat owner B is 115/2,

While A and B have flat number as 204,205 respectively in registry document.

Holdin Number commonly called as Door No. is a must for an address to be complete. It is issues by the City Corporation. Whereas Flat No. is provided to identify the house easily and it is provided by flat builder. It serves as simple identification of house in a particular flat. A door no. is mandatory.
