A private limited company was incorporated on 16.12.2011.
Now as per law kindly advice on the date for holding its first Annual General Meeting.
Also comment on the period of accounts to be taken in consideration for the same.

it can hold its first AGM within 18 months from the date of incorporation e.g. 16 dec2011.

and accounts are also to be presented before shareholders on AGM  ...

As per section 166 of the companies Act 1956

Dear Bhavini,

you can refer Section 166 + Section 210 of the Companies Act, 1956,,,

As per Section 166:

You have to hold the First AGM within the periond not more than 18 months from the Date of Incorporation,

And,

As per Section 210:

 

the profit and loss account shall relate

in the case of the first annual general meeting of the company, to the period beginning with the incorporation of the company and ending with a day which shall not precede the day of the meeting by more than nine months.,,
