Firm name approval

Hello Experts,

I've cleared CA Final exam in May 2012 and applied for Membership n COP together.

At the time of applying Form 2 my Sir has offered partnership in his firm. So I have not suggested my individual firm name.

but after applying Form 2 recently due to sharing problem I have decided not to join my Sir's firm and to start my individual practise.

So my question is whether I can apply in Form-117 for Firm name approval without Membership no. (As it will take more than 1 month to receive membership no.)
