Finance role in IT company

hello friends,

am new to this forum. I am working as Hr Executive in one of the it company and now given responsibility of looking after finance division.

Can anybody help me by providing detailed information on finance role in IT companies as well as role of auditors...

Its urgent kindly help me out from this problem....

Hello Jayanthi,

First thing u have not described the scope of work responsibility u r going to handle, see in finance there are lots of activities, it majorly depend upon the size of organisation, but in case of IT Co. it is quit easy than mfr. Co's.

Majorly finance includes management of Financial statement which are going to publish. It covers areas like preparation of Budget, MIS reporting,  financial statements, managing the funds i.e. cash, receipts & payments.

If you want specifice work oriented guidence please let me know your scope of responsibilities.

Let me know  whether your training and education is in HR or Finance.

from what you have given, suggest to

1. get to know from your management about what they expect from you in your  "finance"  role & 

2. to sit with your  CA ( hope you referred your CA as "auditor")   who will be in a better position to give more insight, relevant to your organisation and role.
