Please help...Want to know the finance bills which are usually introduced in the month of February is applicable to the which assessment year?Illustrate with an example.

the provisions laid down in the finance bill which was presented on 26th feb, 2010 will be applicable for
assessment year 2011-2012 ,
i.e. previous year 2010-2011
