Final CA in June 2011 ??

Regarding Final exams in June, its totally rumour as of now because there is no official announcement as such in ICAI website. With regard to revised material, institute informed in the Journal that revised modules will be available in January. So hoping those may be available by Jan last week.

Yes  i know that but are the revised modules applicable for our attempt or not ??

People are saying that for May they wont be applicablle but if exams are postponed to June, then they shall be applicable to us ...

I don't think that the revision of modules by Institute means revising substantially the syllabus. In my view, it may be revised to make the modules more student-friendly than now. If at all such changes in topics/syllabus is there, institute shall issue an Announcement in this regard. Without such announcement, it would not be applicable in my view. They might be revising some of the text more friendly and may be including more practical problems. But it is advisable to do practical problems from such books because institute may ask from them. However, the revised institute material as i expected will be uploaded by the Institute in ICAI website, once it is ready.

and regarding revised modules

they are updated to be more student friendly as krishna said so 

and as per the director board of studies it will always be applicable for nest upcoming exams as the syllabus is same but content is widened a bit

in isca there were a lot of new small topics were inserted in July 2010

still it was applicable for next examsi.e nov 2010

and around 25 mraks direct questions were from it

ICAI did not mention or announce any such changes in the website

it was due to many people ( including me ) who have talked to and mailed and thry e sahayata pointed this figure out to ICAI 

and then they just announced that ok it will be applicable

as per Kapoor sir " the changing of icai's book is and ongoing process and we need not again and again declare that this or that publication has been amended and are applicable for exams

for the convenience of students we have already host the updated books on website, so it is always beneficial to read from those updated content for the exams "

For may 11 the updated books have not still been hosted on website

so keep a watch on it !!

there is a notification about A/Y applicable for June 2011. are the exams really postponed to June 2011.

Where have u come across such notification ??!
