[b]It is clarified that Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Act, 2006 is applicable for November, 2007 Final Examination not from May 2007 examination as announced earlier. Questions on Professional Ethics may be asked in accordance with the Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Act, 2006. Chapter 17 of Advanced Auditing of Final (Old) Course study material should be accordingly read with appropriate amendments.
A supplementary study material is released covering Chapter 17 of Advanced Auditing study materials. The supplementary study material can also be downloaded from the website www.icai.org>students>Courses (Course Curriculum)>Final>Supplementary study materials.

There was an announcement earlier notifying applicability of the Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Act, 2006 with effect from May 2007 Examination which is now withdrawn. This announcement has been updated and students are advised to go through the updated Announcement No. Bos/Ancmnt/227/10/207 dated February 22, 2007 on Applicability of various publications for Final Examination to be held in May 2007. Students appearing for May 2007 examination should prepare relevant issues based on the Advanced Auditing, Fourth Edition, January 2006.[/b]

Hey!! What's happening is institute playing with us....

Just hardly 3 months to go and they are announcing its not applicable...

Kaustuv you have correctly pointed out its really a big Unprofessional misconduct...

The institute should keep in mind that though no one is their to review them, its students who are being affected and this will surely create a pressure in students' mind...

Institute should relook at this matter.
