Filing GSTR 9C - DSC issue
Where step 1 is Initiate Signing
and when I press it it is not enabling or I couldn't attach digital signature
this is an technical error ,... i myself gone through the same problem , so use internet explorer minimum version 10 & if problem still persist then contact to your computer expert
DSC issues on the GST portal are almost always a browser or driver problem, not an issue with your certificate itself.
Three steps to try in order: (1) use Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer compatibility mode (the GST portal has legacy dependencies), (2) check that the emsigner application is running in the system tray - if not, open it manually from the downloaded utility, and (3) reinstall the emsigner utility by downloading the latest version from the GST portal under Downloads.
Also worth checking: many DSC tokens issued in 2023-24 expire in August-September 2026. Open the emsigner app and verify your certificate expiry date before assuming it is a portal issue.
