Filing 15CB certificate on new Income Tax portal

Efiling 238 views 3 replies

There seem to be a lot pf problems in assigning form 15CB from assessee to his selected CA in new Income Tax portal due to which, CA's cannot file/ upload X M L of 15CB prepared by him to the new Income Tax portal. Also, it is not clear whether X M L generated from utility downloaded from old Income Tax portal will be accepted on the new portal after the same gets activated.

I request others to share their experiences and if they have any news/ updates on submission of form 15CB, kindly share the same here. Non facilitation of 15CB is causing a lot of hardship to everyone - assessees as well as CA's.

Hello. Did you manage to file 15CB?

Not till date. Have asked the assessee to check with his bank if they are accepting manual form 15CB, but there is no update on this. Meanwhile, any update on this from anyone else?

Yes, currently many users are facing issues with assigning Form 15CB to Chartered Accountants on the new Income Tax portal. This is primarily due to transition-level technical glitches or incomplete integration of DSC and authorization modules. Until the portal stabilizes, these issues may persist.

Regarding XML compatibility — the new Income Tax portal accepts XML files generated as per the latest schema. If your XML was created using the old utility, it may not be accepted if there are format mismatches or schema changes.

To avoid such issues, it is recommended to generate XML using an updated and portal-compatible utility that adheres to the current schema version.

Our Excel-based utility allows you to prepare and validate Form 15CA & 15CB XML files in bulk, as per the latest schema.

  • Compatible with new portal format

  • Supports all parts – A, B, C, D & CB

  • No need for manual entry on portal
