Files listing in Windows XP

just below the menu bar and above the address bar there will be an icon in a rectangular box with a drop down menu .( if u place cursor on that icon it shows views )

click that icon u can have thumbnails , icons , list , .............. 

or   simply go to view menu and select  thumbnails

I know how to get the view I want after clicking the views button.

What I want to know is- How can I permanently do the setting in such a way that the file listing is always "thumbnails" by default.

Go to Folder Options u will get it there if u r using VISTA and also for XP u can check there
