File nil return. liability Discharge DRC 03 from itc. interest payable or not

I had a liability in the financial year 2017-2018. I had filed zero GST return. Had taken ITC claim. Now what interest payment will have to be made from the liability ITC DRC 03 for the financial year 2017-2018. ITC is in Credit Ledger since 2017-2018.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses GST interest implications for the 2017-2018 financial year when a nil return was filed but Input Tax Credit (ITC) was claimed. It clarifies whether interest is payable on liabilities discharged through DRC-03, especially when ITC has been held in the credit ledger since that period. The consensus is that interest is applicable as per Section 50 of the CGST/SGST Act 2017.
