FD Interest data mismatch

Dear Experts,

Can you pls help understand, why there's always data mismatch for FD interest amount between bank ( interest certificate or Form26AS ) and actual amount being paid to our account ?

Example : as per bank's interest certificate or Form26AS it's ₹10 /- where as actual interest deposited in our account is ₹7/- . Its always more as per their calculation.

How exactly they calculate and why it's doesn't match ?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the common issue of Fixed Deposit (FD) interest data mismatches. Users are experiencing discrepancies where the interest amount shown on bank certificates or Form 26AS is higher than the actual amount credited to their accounts. The core question is understanding the bank's calculation method and the reasons behind this 20-30% difference, especially concerning TDS deductions.

Give some more details about the interest, tds and year...

1. FY 23-24

2. Interest details I've shared above ( bank interest certificate / form 26as shows ₹10/- interest paid , where as actual interest paid to my account is ₹7/ )  meaning there's a difference of 20-30% between actual interest credited and that shows in form 26as

3. TDS by bank is 10% of ₹10 - > ₹1 in interest certificate/ form 26as .

Hope this clarifies !
