My Articleship for 3 years ended on 8th March 2015. Due to few reasons i decided to complete my extension period under another principal. My previous principal submitted my form 108 two months late i.e on 12th May 2015. I haven't registered with the new principal as of now.

I received a copy of a letter from the institute addressing my principal that there is some issue ith my form 108 stating "the other activities are pending cannot terminate- Permission to study" asking my principal to reply within 15 days, which i don't think my principal has done.

My Number of leaves in Form 108 are shown as 245.

Questions:

1. Within how many days can a register with the new principal after completion of my 3years.?

2. What is the procedure to register with the new principal?

3. Can I register with the new principal at this state or i need to wait for ths issues ragarding my form 108 to be solved?

4. What should i do for my Form 108 issues to be solved?

Hi tanvi, i believe a can answer part of your query,as i did my extension with another principal than with the principal,i first registered with. So, firstly you can rejoin for serving extension with other principal at ANY TIME,it's just that you have to be a registered article,serving the last 6 months as on the first day of the month in which the ca-final exam falls,i.e by may or nov,otherwise you can't give exams. Secondly, you have to resubmit form 103 and 102 signed by another principal,within 30 days of commencement of extension. Thirdly, although you can submit form 103 at this state also,but ultimately you'll get registered only when the proceedings of your 108 filed is dispensed with. And lastly, it would be good if you talk about the matter to your principal,to sort out the discrepancies in form 108 filed. Regards, Ashutosh

Thank You Ashutosh! I have solved all the discrepancies related to my Form 108 and I have received the letter regarding the same. My letter states that i need to complete 104 days of my extension with another principal. I wish to start it by this week. Hence i wanted to know how do i calculate these 104 days? Shall I exclude all sundays when I won't be working? I will also be giving my final exams and would be taking 15 days of leave prior to the exam. so do I need to exclude these 31 days as well?
