earlier only non-residents and resident public ltd cos and PSUs were only eligible to apply for advance rulings...but by propsed amendment vide Fin Budget,2014 all Indian cos(PSU,public ltd and even Private Ltd may take recourse to advance rulings)....and further such amdt for both direct and indirect taxes....
