Exemptions in Exam.

What are the criterias for having exemption in 1 subject except that 60 or above in that subject ?

It is only criteria for exemption. Either you clear the group or score 60 in the subject

But I have Heard that other subjects in that group must also have 30% marks..

You need to have at least 40% marks in each subject to pass the subject. Then you should also score at least 50% in the group aggregate to clear the group. In case you fail in any of these criteria you fail in all four subjects of the group. To exempt means even if you fail in all 4 subjects but score 60% or more marks in any subject then you need not to give that paper again even if you are attempting the entire group.
