We are a NGO with exemption under 80 G granted in 2007. As per the order with us, the exemption was vaild till 31/3/2010. We have been told that under new rules, this exemption is now valid indefinitely ( ie till revoked). Queries are:
1. Is the above assumption correct?
2. What is the reference to this new order?

Yes, the organisations eligible under 80G are exempted from getting renewed. I didn't find the reference but the recent Finance Act has made the ammendement in this regard.
