Dear all, Certain allowance from employment which are exempt under section 10 has been reported under schedule S of ITR. However could anyone please let me know should the same be reported under Schedule EI as well. Thank you

Not necessarily. Both exemptions are different in nature. Any unclaimed exempted income u/h. salary should be declared under "Schedule EI'.

What would be the action to be taken where there is an mismatch notice received from the department, the difference is the amount exempted. Though the same has been reported under schedule S

Is it deduction available u/h. salary? file rectification request.

Otherwise revise return, with correct exemption claim.
