Excise procedures, records for manufacturer

Dear Friend,

I am new to excise for manufacturer as I have never worked for excise manufacturing unit. One of my client is going to start manufacturing unit for brass parts with excise registration numbers.

I have to provide accounting service to the vendor.

I am seeking guidance as for applicable rules and guidelines for maintaining records and preparing relavent returns.

If possible, please provide explonatery notes also.
