Excise duty charge on packing material

Dear Frieds,

We are the manufacturing company, my quatation as below, if you have answerd please tell me.

When we make the our sales invoice we chage the (besic excise duty 12.5% ) at that time first assesble value + packing charges, on excise duty, it is currect or not ???

Yes Packing Charges Will Form Part Of Assesable Value and therefore transaction value includes packing and forwarding charges of material for payment of excise duty on finished goods cleared from place of removal
