Quick Summary
If you've accidentally claimed double input tax credit (ITC) in a previous GSTR 3B return, you'll need to reverse it in the current month. This discussion clarifies whether interest is applicable on the excess ITC of £36,000. While the law generally requires interest payment, it's advised to wait for any official notice before depositing, as interest will be calculated up to the date of reversal.
As per Law yes interest need to be deposited, but it's better that not to deposit today because if any notice is issue in this regard on that day also you will be required to deposit the interest till the day your reverse the same.
