FRIENDS I HAVE ATTENDED THE NATIONAL LEVEL CONVENTION FOR CA STUDENTS HELD ON 21ST AND 22ND AUGUST 2011 AT LUDHIANA. DURING THE TECHNICAL SESSION THERE WAS A SPEECH BY CA V MURLI ABOUT EXAMINATION PROCEDURES. SOME OF THE FACTS OF HIS SPEECH WERE AS FOLLOWS:-

1 WE HAVE GIVEN 15 MINUTE EXTRA TIME FOR PAPER READING IN EXAMS TO DECREASE THE LEVEL OF PRESSURE ON CA STUDENTS. HENCE CA STUDENTS SHOULD TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR PLANNING THEIR STRATEGY DURING THE EXAM.

2 WHEN THE EXAMINATION COMPLETES THAN IMMEDIATELY THE ANSWER SHEETS ARE SENT TO THE EXAMINATION DEPARTMENT BY COURIER.

3 WHEN THE ANSWER SHEETS ARE RECEIVED BY THE EXAMINATION DEPARTMENT THAN THERE IS A CODING SYSTEM WHICH CONVERTS ROLL NO. OF CANDIDATES INTO THE CODES ( THIS IS THE REASON WHY THERE IS A RESTRICTION TO WRITE ROLL NO. AT ANY PLACE EXCEPT AT THE MAIN PAGE).CONTINUED- - - - -

4 AFTER CONVERTING THE ROLL NO. INTO CODES THE ANSWER SHEETS ARE RENDOMLY DISTRIBUTED AMONG THE EXAMINERS (IT COULD BE POSSIBLE IF THERE ARE 500 STUDENTS IN ONE CENTRE THE ANSWER SHEETS OF STUDENTS MAY GO TO 500 DIFFERENT EXAMINERS)

5 MOST IMPORTANT POINT IN THIS SPEECH WAS THAT WHEN EXAMINATION IS COMPLETE THAN VERY NEXT DAY OUR EXPERTS ARE GIVEN THE EXAMINATION PAPERS TO SOLVE IN EXAMINATION CONDITIONS . AND TIME IS GIVEN FOR 2 HOURS TO COMPLETE THE PAPERS. SO THAT IT CAN BE JUDGE THAT THE LENGTH OF PAPER WAS FRIENDLY (WHERE THE TIME GIVEN TO STUDENTS IS 3 HOURS).SO IT IS NOT FAIR TO ASK THAT PAPER WAS TOO LENGTHY.

5 THE INSTITUTE NEVER MANIPULATE THE RESULTS (BUT THE MARKS ARE GIVEN ACCORDING TO LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE)

Nice information. Till now I didn't knew this information. Ya but I believe roll nos. should be converted into codes, otherwise there may be regional disparty if papers goes to particular examiner after he sees the roll no. Based on that he may estimate the region. This is just my personal opinion. But, anyway thanks for the information. With regard to the marking of papers, I believe ICAI gives marks according to the performance.

Yup coding is always there wheather you go to cbse class 10 or 12 or university level exam or ICAI

 

QUITE SHICKING THAT THEY CONDUCT THE EXAM OF EXAMINERS THE NEXT DAY

 

But the good news is that I dont think that they will discontinue the 15 min extra time in NOV 11 exams

I WAS ALSO NOT KNOWN ABOUT THESE PROCEDURES. I HAVE HEARD THIS IN CONFERENCE HENCE I HAVE SHARED WITH CCI FRIENDS

you will be surprised to know ICAI does not fail a student will fully. they have transparent valuation procedure in fact in some cases i have heard they give grace marks (1or 2 marks based on performacne in other papers)  to pass a student. you might have seen students passed by scoring exactly 200 marks or 40 marks in a particular paper.

Hi Freinds.I Were Very Disappointed For ICAI Policy .Becauce

1.The Institute Decrease the Level Of CA Examination So The Result Are Good & Campus Placement Result Are Decreased. I Request instiue To Put his Effort To Provide 100% Result in Campus.

2. The ICAI Give Exemption For B Com Student But it is a true fact that many student he get 70% + in These Are Failes in CPT.

3.In The Present Senarion At The Time ofJoining Articleship most of the CA Firm Who have Good Reputation Prefer Refrence Student to Provide Articleship. And Student Passed Both Group Of IPCC with Good Marks Are Missed To Join Good Firm In Absence Of Any Type Of refrence .

 These Student Are Arise One word In Mind IN whole Of the Aricleship"Corruption"

Now Those Student who have obtain good marks Are look Who Student Who Get Very Lower Mark But Get Articleship In Good Firm.& Decidfe to Adopt Corruption After Passed CA Examination.

Now ICai Are Required to Prevent Refrence at the thime of Joining Articleship.

* Those student who have not get articleship in good firm Inspired them to join Industrial Traning.

 Arun,  what do you mean by "decreased level of examination" ? ICAI has its own procedure of setting papers and valuation and you have no right ot comment of it. There is body of expert who chalk out the best practices.

Secondly,  CA is CA whether he secured 51% or 91%  in examination  you can not ask the competency of a CA.

Thirdly, Accounting firms are free to recruit articles. People prefer reference may be due to the fact they are familiar with the guy instead of hiring article who is stranger.
