There is no gap required, if he is in the last 6 months of articleship (including excess leaves) or, has completed his articleship, he can appear in May 2011.

it depends upon ur date of joining of ur articles
sice frm , after 3 yrs u r eligible for final
actually 3 1/2 articles period but tey can appear earlier in 6 months
