Ewaybill value less than invoice value

We want to generate invoice after goods have been delivered to the buyer (Almost all sales there is a shortage in the accepted quantity and they do not want to make debit notes).

Can we generate a lower value approximate ewaybill to accompany the vehicle and then send a higher value invoice to the company later (after 2 days)?

Will the mismatch in invoice value and ewaybill value be a problem? (eway bill value total less than invoice value total) (please note total month's invoice value will be made sure to be higher than the generated ewaybill value, hence making sure actual GST is paid and not less)

Dear Munir,

Its not possible to send goods if the invoice not generated unless delivery challan / note type goods movement transaction in involved. But you have to raise invoice for goods moments after that debit note can be use for amount deduction.

Can we make ewaybill+invoice (lower value for goods movement) and then change the values in the invoice based on the accepted quantity? (the company has agreed to not take the invoice sent with the goods but to accept the one generated on the accepted quantity).

So basically, ewabill and invoice will be generated of lower value, a proper invoice will be sent next day on accepted value and that one will be taken by the company as the only invoice and discard the one that came with the goods supply.

Net result will be that the ewaybill values will be lower than the actual invoice values

(Thank you for your reply, Naveen)

You are right on your ground. But, there is no provision under accepted invoice / expected invoice under GST for goods movement / invoice generation.
