But as per the meeting of GoM ( Group of Ministers) , it has been decided to start the ewaybil mechanism from 1st April 2018, as per the latest news received .

At the meeting of Group of Ministers (GoM) held at New Delhi on 24th February, 2018, the finance Ministers of different states have recommended for the 2nd time rollout of E-Way Bill mechanism for Inter-state movement of Goods from the new financial year (i.e. 1st April, 2018) after looking at the technological preparedness of GST Network. The recommendation would be considered by the GST Council at its meeting on 10th March, 2018.

The final decision would be taken by the GST Council at its meeting.
