Eway bill distance limit
Do we need to file eway bill if the distance is less than 50kms?

nothing to do with distance.... even if 1 kms........ if value exceeds the limit.... has to be generated.....
Yes , as per Rule 138 of CGST Act you have to generate e-way bill of the consignment value exceeds 50k & being transported via motorised conveyance.

E-WAY Bill needs to be generated when the Consignment Value exceeds Rs. 50,000. There is no exemption for Distance. Once your Consignment Value exceeds Rs. 50,000, you are required to generate e-way bill even if the distance is 1 Km.
