Labour & Industrial 398 views 1 replies

Dear collegues

One of my client has received an letter from the ESI department for the deposition for interest on late deposition of ESI contribution .

The organisation is a government company and has employed its employees in delhi government

The delay in submission is because of non-receipt  of attendence timely form the respective delhi government department.

Is their any procedure to waive the interest liability???????

please i am waiting for some valuable answer.

Thanks and regards

Pankaj

ignorance is no excuse of law

client may get late information, but the employoees belong to them, and its his duty to deposit the statuatory dues within the time.

however on record if he can proove that he did not got the actual amounts from the delhi govt within time, and on receipt of same he immediately deposited the same, then some portion may be weived, subject to firm documents produced in support of argument,
