Guys ESI ACT is applicable to an Employee only if his wages are not more than Rs15000(monthly).....But what if the Employee has not worked for the entire month(Say he works for 12 days) & his wages fall proportionately and he falls in category of wages less than Rs15000.....So will he make contribution for that month???

Thanks in Advace,

if the establishment is covered under the ESIC and the employee draws below 15000 for any specific month, then contributions are payable. however if he enjoy leave with wages and gross payment exceeds 15000 then no such obligation.

I agree with Mr Sharma.

If his drawings in the previous months are less than the thresold limit, and hewas already covered then his contributions are to be made

Sir,

If any employee getting more than 15000/- Gross Salary than he  will exempted from  ESIC.

If any employee getting <=15000/- Gross Salary than he will covered in ESIC Act.
