Error in offline mode of service tax return

Service Tax No always starts with TAN and not PAN. I have never heared of Service Tax No starting with TAN. You need to check it again.

Service Tax No always starts with PAN and not TAN. I have never heared of Service Tax No starting with TAN. You need to check it again.

sir i have already checked and it is cinfirm that ST No. starts with TAN

Dear Sweta,

TAN is having 4 Alpha+4 Numberic+1alpha, 

where as ST/CER contains 5 Alpha+4 Numeric+3 alpha+3 numeric.

5 alpha+ 4 numric+1 alpha upto this as per my knowledge it contains PAN only. if it is CER they will give E+M or D, for ST S+T(old)+D(new now) it is coming.
