Erection commissioning and installation

As said service are cover under 'work contract Service' which is Applicability of Service Tax Notification No.24/2012-Service Tax dtd.6.6.2012 explaining the provisions of calculation of service tax on works contract

Thank you sir for your reply. Can you confirm whether the 67% abatement taken was correct or not.

I was worried because a financial controller told me that there was no exemption for erection , commissioning and installation servcie but I had check it on net and i found the notification confirming the same.

W.e.f 01.07.2012 erection commissioning will be covered under original works and will be entitled to 60% abatement. However, cenvat credit of input services and capital goods is available.

The intention to reduce the abatement was to allow cenvat credit on  input services  and capital goods. However, cenvat credit on input is not available.
