Can anyone confirm whether deduction of provident fund is mandatory for foreign employees, if yes in which indian government circular it is mentioned and effective from what date ???

Foreign nationals who are employed in India and being paid in foreign currency, whether to be covered or not?
Yes, International workers drawing salary in any currency and in any manner are to be covered. (Section 2 f).
