X an employee drawing basic salry is 5400/- for April 2009 (Days in a month 30) bu he worked 35 days, how you will calculate basic salary for calculating EPF?

Hi Suresh,
If Basic of Rs.5400 is for 30 days, calculate for 35 days.
5400*35/30 = Rs.6300 and calaculate EPF on this basic

HI Sir ,
Its very simple the employee is getting RS 5400 for 30days it means for one day 5400/30-180.the employee is getting 180 rs per day & he work for 35 days .
Basic Salary = No of days worked*salary per day.
i.e 35*180=6300.
