entry for depericiation

if  a person purchase a asset for 5000/- in the financial year 2009-10 in the month april 1

 

and sell it in the month 31 january 2010  for 4500/-

 

what will be entry pass for sell of machenary +depericiation and loss  incured for selling of asset

Since the purchase price of the machinery is just Rs. 5000, i would ask you to consider it as a consumable in the books of accounts.
