Entity qualifying as Level 1 entity

In entity qualifying as level entity , it's given that any non corporate entity having it's shares listed is a level 1 entity. But non corporate entities also include sole proprietorship, so are sole proprietorships allowed to have shares ? If yes, please give some real life examples!

Non corporate entities for example mutual funds...some mutual funds are listed on stock exchanges and hence these mutual funds are non corporate entities
so non corporate entities won't include sole proprietorship?
Non corporate entities includes sole proprietorship dear
but sole proprietorships are not listed , then how?
