I need to know - whether in West Bengal as per the West Bengal State Tax on Professions - it is a requirement for a director of a Pvt Ltd company to obtain enrolment seperately and pay Profession Tax against enrolment yearly ? Profession tax is being deducted and paid every month against the director's salary to the Govt. So I specifically need to know whether he as a director has to apply as an individual, obtain enrolment and pay enrolment liability seperately Rs 2500 annually ?
Yes precisely this is the issue that I am facing and I do not know what to do.

This is the exact intimation that our director has received, he has received this in his official mail id, the contents are exactly the same. I wonder whether we are required to proceed accordingly, I need to be certain. But indeed if it is really a statutory requirement for a director to enrol seperately and hence apply individually in WB profession tax, then we would need to go through the process.
