Hello,
I moved to a different state and started working out of a branch of my company in that state. Unfortunately, my employer didn't process my updated information in time and submitted income taxes to the wrong state. The information i have says that i should file a non-resident tax return in the state i used to be in (which will result in a full refund for that state) and file again in my new state with the earning reported to the wrong state. All that seems reasonable to me.If this had happened later in the year, i would have just waited till tax time to resolve the issue. However, since this happened in january, i don't want to wait until next tax year to deal with this issue. Is there a way i can resolve this any faster?
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
