Dear Experts

Mr. X is working as an employee in three companies i.e. A Pvt. ltd. B Pvt. Ltd. and C Pvt. Ltd. His salary is Rs. 300000 p.a. from each of the employer amounting to Rs. 900000 p.a. in Financial Year 2016-2017.

Now which employer will deduct TDS on salary u/s 192?

Who will issue TDS certificate in Form 16 at the end of the year?

All three will deduct tax on salary paid by them because salary per employer is above taxable limit.

The employee can declare salary from other two employers to the third employer, so that the third one can deduct tax on the whole amount of salary, to avoid payment of advance tax and interest thereon.

Thanks with regards for your guidance. Please let me know how all the employers will mention total TDS and total salary in Part-B of Form No. 16 ?

All employer will issue as they would do normally. Their respective form will disclose the salary from them. No need to club salary income from other employer in the form 16. The clubbing is done only for calculation of tax to be deducted by the employer who is deducting tax on total salary.
