I had enrolled for CA Final in August 2010 (including articleship for 3 years after passing PE-II). I have been appearing for CA final now, and yet to finish it. Is there a need to re-register for CA Final now as my 5 years of registration is getting over next month, i.e.August 2015. Will i be able to apply for Final exam next month for November 2015?? Although, i have not received any letter/ notice from the institute for re-registering. Please guide.

I called up ICAI, Chennai and mentioned our query to them. They said, we have to apply for re-registration by paying Rs.500/- in D.D. in favour of Secretary, ICAI payable at chennai (for southern region). They also said that we can apply for exam even before applying for re-registration and both exam and re-registration is totally different thing, but we must apply for it by the date our registration expires.
Hopefully our doubts are cleared now.
