Eligibility of GST Registration

Dear Team,

I had obtained GST number in the FY2017-18 even tho my professional income was below 20 lacs.

Further, as I did not file the GST returns on time my GST number was cancelled by the department.

However, in the FY2022-23 my professional income was Rs.35lacs

Should I now reapply for GST number in the current year even if my income does not exceed Rs.20lacs?

Please help. Thanks.
