Now PCC students can appear for their final in the last six months of their articleship.
Finally ICAI has announced it, but very late for Nov 11 exams .
"The minimum eligibility requirement(s) for appearing in the Final
Examination scheduled to be held in November, 2010 and thereafter, in respect
of a candidate registered as a student of the Professional Competence Course
(PCC) shall be completion of the practical training as is required for admission as
a member on or before the last day of the month preceding the month in which
the examination is held (i.e. 31 st October, 2010 for the November, 2010
examination) or has been serving the last six months of practical training,
including excess leave, if any, on the first day of the month in which the
examination is held (i.e. 1st November, 2010 for the November, 2010
examination).”
