There is any chance for change of may '11 exam dates since state assembly elections will be held in April 11 to May 13?

we have not get any announcement yet...i wd suggest u to regular check the ICAI site rather than to believe on rumors spread by others.....

i think there will be no change in exam schedule in other states except for Westbengal since it is the only state where exam date clashes with the poll dates.....in 2008 there was a similar situation in karnataka and only exams were changed there.....

FOR THE KIND ATTENTION OF CANDIDATES APPEARING IN THE CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS FINAL EXAMINATION TO BE HELD IN MAY, 2008 FROM BANGALORE AND MYSORE CENTRES.

This is to inform the candidates concerned of the Chartered Accountants Final Examination to be held in May, 2008 already admitted for Bangalore and Mysore Centres that in view of the Election to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly scheduled to be held on 10th May, 2008, Paper 8- Indirect Taxes of the Final Examination scheduled to be held on 10th May, 2008 has been postponed and the same will now be held on 12th May, 2008 from 8.00 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the same Examination Centres to which they have been admitted/allotted.

It may kindly be noted that this change in date of the examination, i.e., from 10th May, 2008 to 12th May, 2008 is ONLY for the candidates of Final examination already admitted for Bangalore and Mysore centres. There is no change in the examination date (s) of the FINAL examination in respect of Paper 8 - Indirect Taxes for all other candidates appearing from other cities in India and abroad and the same will be held from 2nd to 10th May 2008, as notified earlier.

                          ANNOUNCEMENT
         Chartered Accountancy Examinations, May, 2011.
Rescheduling of PCE / IPCE Exams scheduled on 3rd May 2011
             and 7th May 2011 at Kolkatta and Asansol
                                                      14th March, 2011
In view of the Election to the West Bengal State Legislative Assembly,
Paper-1, `Advanced Accounting’ of Professional Competence
Examination and Paper-1, `Accounting’ of Integrated Professional
Competence Examination scheduled to be held on Tuesday, the 3rd May,
2011 at Kolkata Zone-I, Zone-II and Zone-III centres stand
postponed and the examination in the said papers shall now be held at
Kolkata Zone I, Zone-II and Zone-III centres on Wednesday, 18th May,
2011 at the same venues and at the same timings i.e. 2.00 PM to 5.00
PM.
Similarly owing to the aforesaid Elections, Paper-4, `Cost Accounting
and Financial Management’ of Professional Competence Examination and
Paper-3, `Cost Accounting and Financial Management’ of Integrated
Professional Competence Examination scheduled to be held on Saturday,
the 7th May, 2011 at Asansol centre stand postponed and the
examination in the said papers shall now be held at Asansol centre on
Wednesday, 18th May, 2011 at the same venue and at the same timings
i.e. 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.

YES... TILL NOW ONLY IPCC AND PCC ACOUNTS AND COST EXAMS HAVE BEEN POSTPONED...

yes abhishek...for final the date is clashing only on 10thmay....(costing Exam).....nd they have not said anyhting on may 13th which is the d day(Counting and declaration of results at all the 5 places where elections are going to be held)
