Can anyone tell from when the provisions of Companies Act, 2013 is applicable as it is not clear in the Act mentioned under section 1. Do the applicability of new Companies Act starts from today in such provisions where it is not necessary for the rules to formulate.
New Companies Act yet to be notified. It will be effective only from the date mentioned in the notification. Expected date is 1 April 2014. Since, at so many places the act specifies "as may be prescribed", rules also to be notified along with the act. 1st set of draft rules already released.
