07 October 2012Sir, I want to know about education cess on tds on salary,
we didn't deduct education cess on payment to contractor only tds amount deducated, but on salary what should i do, if i didn't deduct education cess then, in computation there will be tax payable by difference of education cess. plz guide,

Sir,
For the F.YR 2012-13, ED CESS and SHEC is also to be deducted while deducting TDS on Salary u/s 192.

Ya! EC & HSEC is applicable on amout of TDS On salary and Rate for charging EC & HSEC is 3% on TDS Amout..
