Edited rent agreement

my friend have applied for gst registration and rent agreement
is name of father, so he edited rent agreement and enter his name in place of his father name and submitted application. but next day he received message
that you have to be present for hearing with your written stmt and all the actual document. if you failed to be present, further action will be taken, assuming you have nothing to say. what action will be taken against?
