where to file return if a person has shifted to Australia n has been earning salary income via staying there.
can that person file income tax return from india?
if yes,what are d benefits?

All would depend upon the residential status (resident or non resident) of the assessee.

As per your statement, the client would be Non resident Indian; hence any earning or income earned outside India, is not taxable in India. Even if he files ITR in India, for any income (other than the said Salary income) earned or accrued in India, he need not declare this salary income in the ITR.
