There is no monetory  limit specified for issue of e sugam. If you are a manufacturer and value of goods brought into local area is less than Rs.1 lac. per annum, then you are not liable for entry tax. Otherwise you have to pay  entry tax on goods entered into local area.

Dear sir We are selling goods to local customers only around karnataka. The value invoices normally more than 3 lacks. My query is, esugam is it mandatory or not. Pls clarify. Regards kumar

ok your local or  interstate sales you must and should  prepare for esuggam

e sugam is must for goods enter from one local area to another local area. Local area means an area within the limits of municipality, panchayati, Mandal etc...

E-sugam is necessary, and it is  convenient at checkposts, or when checked by mobile CPs,whenever any taxable goods are moved either for sale, for receiving any taxable goods after prchase from outside the state or import, when dispatching for job work etc. While moving goods within a revenue district not as a result of sale form VAT115 can be used.. For all details see related notifications in website :https://sugam.kar.nic.in or https://sugam2.kar.nic.in.There are different parts applicable with varying formats for  each kind of transactions, use of abrreviations, commodity codes etc along with instructions. You may also refer to KLJ publications,KVAT Act 2003-2012-13 pages 703 to 773.....mjk.

Please let me know while filling value for "stock transfer(receipt)"

what amount to be put in "taxable value" ,"vat/cst collected"

and "total amount"?

The gross invoice value is to be mentioned. Whenever any audit is done by the department all the e-sugams will be verified against the books of a/c. ....mjk

Dear Ratnakar if you are receiving goods by stock transfer, you can only mention the total value of good in taxable value and tax amount could be nil.

Dear experts can u please clear is e sugam even applicalble to textile goods such as blankets and shawls etc
