LOT OF ASSESSES ARE NOT MAKING E-PAYMENT OF INCOME TAX AND TDS THOUGH IT IS MANDATORY FOR THEM.

THE REASON - THEY DON'T HAVE FACILITY , FURTHER BANKS ARE ALSO DELAYING THE FACILITY TO THEM  DUE TO PROCEDURE LAPSES.

THEY ARE DEPOSITING THE TAX THRULGH PAPER CHALLAN IN BANKS?

THE EFFECT ? WILL THEY GET CREDIT?

It depends upon the income tax department

In todays compitation of Banks when foreign banks are in India I dont agree with  that the banks are delaying this is very silly reason you are putting

SOME OF THE BANKS ARE TAKING MORE THAN 45 DAYS TO GIVE THE user id and pass word. Check your facts with some of the nationalised banks and prepare the list of  gestation period  between the application and the actual activation.

The TDS have to be deposited every month hence to avoid the demand of interest the assesses are compelled to deposit the same in paper form to avoid the interest.

Here see banks as per the CBDT instructions avoiding the deposited of tax from Companies in paper form but in case of other assesses (firms and individuals whose accounts are under audit are nuder compulasry E-payment) are not denied by the banks.

Mr. Sameer

This is practical problem and I am in search of a solution becasue if the payment in paper format is rejected then the persons whose TDS is deducted by the depositor (Who deposited the TDS in Paper form) will suffer since they will not get the credit of such TDS.

Further E-paymnet is a facility and if really it is a facility (it is advertised as facility) then it should be optional at the option of the user. See here in the name of facilities , the compulsions are created.

they are giving credit right now. but its better to get an ebanking facility asap

Department is providing TDS credit to the deductor's although they are depositing TDS manually but when it is mendatory to make payment of TDS electronically then we should follow the same procedure but still it is not followed by all the companies and registered partnership firms
