Quick Summary
This discussion addresses issues with E-Way bills where goods haven't moved within the validity period due to practical problems. It clarifies that E-Way bills generally cannot be cancelled once generated, nor can their validity be extended beyond specific limits. The advice suggests contacting the GST office for extensions or, if Part B (vehicle details) hasn't been updated, potentially updating it to send the goods. If Part B is updated, a short extension might be possible. Otherwise, cancelling the invoice and generating a new E-Way bill is recommended, ensuring the invoice is correctly filed in GSTR-1.
u cannot cancel the e_waybill and as per my understanding u won't be able to increase the validity of the e_waybill also. Pl contact ur GST office to increase the validity of the e_waybill.
If Part B not update then no issue.. you can update Part B (vehicle number) and send goods. if Part B updated then validity can be increased till 8 hours from expiry of e way bill.
