what is the due date of tds payment regarding march.2010 , i think it was 31st may 2010. but i want to confirm that so pls can any one told me what is the notification/ circuler/rules

31st May 2010. It has been preponed to 30th April from 2011 onwards.

If the payment relating to TDS is accounted in books by passing a book entry or payment is made whichever is ealier on or before March 30, 2010 then TDS is to be paid on or before April 07, 2010.
If expense or payment relating to TDS is accounted on March 31, 2010, due date for payment of TDS is May 31, 2010.
Kindly note that above mentioned rule is applicable for all the nature of TDS payment except Salary which means TDS liability on Salary for March 31, 2011 was April 07, 2010.
Tds department has charged interest showing due to march 31 2010 is 7th apr 2010 .
as you said above due date is 30th may 2010. can you send me noticiateion to prove this due date
