yes in praticle life he can revise the return with in 90 days..... If department denied that accepting revise return then satisfied with him with vitamin M.

One needs to file revised return within 90 days from the date of filing of original return. It is immetarial whether you file return within due date or after due date. The period for filing revised return reckoned from the date of filing of original return.

No need to give vitamin M as its our statutory right given under law provided revised return filed within due date.

Its Very Simple................... M for Money.............

should be filed with in 90 days from the date of filing. Please dont encourage vitamin M under any circumstances and try to abide with law. Proud to be an Indian.

I have not filed my service tax return , can i submit today how much i have to pay penalty for fy 2010-2011

REvision is possible within 90 days from the date of submission of return, if late fee has been paid as per Rule 7C for the belated return.

For calculating of 90 days which date will be consider.

1) From the date of filing the original return

or

2) From the due date of the filing the return

for eg.

for the period form 01.04.2011 to 30/09/2011 due date extended up to 20.01.2012. But we have filed our Service Tax return on 20.12.2011 but now we are going to file revised service Tax return due to certain changes in return.

Which date for calculation of 90 days.

Please advise....

It is from the date of filing of the original return which is 20.12.2011. You have to calculate 90 days from 20.12.2011.

Thanking you.

as a service receiver, service on gta was not paid for the last year i.e march 13. if we paid service tax now. and what about the service tax return should we revise service tax return for the last year?????

If more than 90 days means in that case what we need to do ?
