Due Date for Submitting IT returns for Fin.Yr. 2009-2010?

Hi,

Can anyone notify me the due date for filing the IT return for the Financial Year 2009-2010 for 'INDIVIDUALS' as well as the 'FIRMS' ?

Also, please let me know whether we need to file the IT returns for the Firm which doesn't commenced yet (i.e,) the firm's production has not been started yet and it's under construction stage only.

If we need to file the '0' or NIL returns, are we need to approach the Tax Consultants (CAs) for this or anyone can file the NIL or '0' returns with IT Dept. If so, what'll be the procedures?

Are u talking about A.Y. 2009 - 10? As F.Y. 2009 -10 has just begin. Return for A.Y. 2009 - 10 for individuals/ firms (whose books are not required to be audited ) should be filed by 31st July, 2009.

Return for the firm should be filed so as to c/f the pre-po. losses.

As regards the second part of the query , the firm has not started production. Expenses incurred during construction period are to be capitalised. So there will not be any income or loss. There is no need to file any return.
